OSTEOPOROSIS STUDY

Study Description
The purpose of the research study is to evaluate the effectiveness of an investigational medication, Odanacatib (MK-0822) for the treatment of osteoporosis. Study participation lasts about 4 years.

Study Requirements

You must:

•	be a woman age 65 to 85, inclusive
•	have been diagnosed with osteoporosis
•	have at least one hip that is free from orthopedic hardware

You should not participate if:

•	you have had a hip fracture
•	you have had more than one vertebral (spine) fracture
•	you have taken estrogen in the last 6 months

If you qualify, Compensation for Time and Travel - Study Related Procedures may be provided at no cost to you
